Songs Hits on Cusp of Presidential Election, Takes a Stand for Our Shared Humanity
PITTSBURGH – October 25, 2024 – The Nied’s Hotel Band, ranked among the region’s most prolific bands, has released its latest single, “We’re in This Together,” a powerful anthem just ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The song calls on all Americans to unite in the spirit of collaboration, compassion, and shared humanity.
Inspired by the spirit of iconic songs, such as We Are the World, this sweeping track seeks to ignite a movement centered on understanding, forgiveness, and the belief that by working together, we can make our country – and the world – a better place.
“We’re in This Together is more than just a song; it is a rallying cry for people to come together regardless of our differences, and to create meaningful change in our communities and beyond,” said John Vento, who conceived the song over the recent months, as the country has been embroiled in a contentious presidential election.
The song’s lyrics express themes of unity, love, and the importance of lifting each other up in times of division and uncertainty. With a melody that combines rock and soul, the track echoes the anthemic power of past hits that have inspired generations to think differently about how we live and care for one another.
“The goal of this piece goes far beyond just writing a catchy tune. We truly hope to inspire folks to value the importance of understanding and love in creating a space where everyone can come together to build a better future,” said guitarist/producer Tim Hadley, who helped write the song alongside David Granati, Gregg McIltrot, Matt Wohlfarth and Vento.
The Nied’s Hotel Band features John Vento (Lead Vocals), Greg McIltrot (Drums, Vocals), Tim Hadley (Guitar, Vocals), Jim McCullough (Guitar, Vocals), Eugene Perry (Bass, Vocals), Ed Jonnet (Saxophone), and Fred Delu (Keyboards). Guest vocalists on the track include Mia Z & Megan Paullet.
“We’re in this Together” was produced by Tim Hadley and recorded by Dana Cannone at The Church Recording Studio. The single was mixed/mastered by Lee Marks. John Vento is the Executive Producer.
