Luanne Hunt Wants to “Heal The World This Christmas” on Latest Single

Multi-award-winning, chart-topping recording artist Luanne Hunt caps off a banner 2024 with her new holiday single, “Heal The World This Christmas.” She says the song was inspired by numerous conversations she’s had with friends and family about the state of our world and the uncertainty about its future.

“In the past, people didn’t seem to have a problem agreeing to disagree,” said Hunt. “But these days, our thoughts and opinions about world affairs often divide us to the point of permanent separation. That truly saddens me and I believe if we are ever going to get back on track, we have to learn to come together
regardless of our differences.”

Like most songwriters, Hunt says the best way for her to express what’s on her mind is through the songs she writes. Beyond “Heal The World This Christmas,” she recently penned several other songs with socially-conscious messages, including “Ghosts Of A Simpler Time” and the award-winning, “If You See Peace.”

“I’m not one to openly talk or write about politics but I do have concerns about all the chaos that’s been going on,” said Hunt. “Maybe it’s pie-in-the-sky, but my greatest wish is that we all come to realize our highest calling is to be kind and loving to one another. That is where our greatest strength lies.”

Over the years, Hunt has become known for her large catalog of original Christmas music, especially her worldwide hit, “Christmas Without You” (Patsy Cline’s Lost Christmas Song). The song has enjoyed countless accolades since it was released in 2008, including being named by Dagens Nyheter (Sweden’s largest daily newspaper), one of the Top 25 Christmas songs of all-time.

To date, Hunt has released 24 studio albums and has racked up an impressive list of accolades, including six American Songwriting Awards, three CD of the Year awards from the National Traditional Country Music Association, five Josie Music Awards nominations and 11 “Best Documentary” honors from film festivals around the world for her self-produced film, “Luanne Hunt: I Won’t Stop Singing!”
