Billy Wesmond, born and raised in Kavala, Greece, has garnered attention for his eclectic sound, which seamlessly merges influences ranging from folk blues and gospel to post-punk and psychedelic rock. At just 24 years old, Wesmond has already self-released more than 10 albums and EP’s. Now, with “IMPOSTER!”, he plunges deeper into the abyss, crafting an album that reflects a fractured reality where nothing—and no one—is as it seems.
Recorded entirely in his bedroom with nothing but a laptop, Wesmond’s IMPOSTER! was created in the true spirit of DIY music. Every note, lyric, and production element was meticulously handled by the artist himself. The album delves into a world where identity is fluid, and the boundaries between reality and illusion blur. “This record is about identity, cheaters, shape shifters, criminals & voodoo magic” says Wesmond. “It’s about taking on different forms, playing pretend to avoid reality”
