Here we are again with another look back at the week that was, here at MTS Management Group. Our artists were busy taping interviews and topping charts last week, and this coming week is shaping up to be another hectic one. So, let’s dive right in…
“Love Doesn’t Live Here,” by past MTS artist, Bryan Cole, continues to rack up the radio airplay, as it moved into the top 10 on the Roots Music Report (#7.) The song also climbed another 3 spots on the New Music Weekly chart, landing at #24. As the writer of the song, I am so grateful to radio for playing it. It’s a very special one to me, as it’s the first country song that I ever wrote…and tho it’s been recorded several times, I think that Bryan did an incredible job with it. Please keep requesting it at country radio.
Xander Demos, our resident shredder, received some big news this week: He was nominated for 2013 Independent Artist of the Year by the Southern Star Network! Voting will begin in August, so stay tuned for more information. Congrats, Xander! His single, “White Knuckle Driving” is continuing it’s impressive run on European radio. Thanks to Cameron Tilbury, who is heading up the promotion. On Thursday, Xander taped an interview with Mark Lewis of Rock Over America, that should be posting early this coming week. Also this week–the interview with Metal Messiah Radio should be coming out. We’ll keep you posted.
Doug Briney is just on fire right now, placing two songs in the Top 50 of the CMG Radio Network Top 100 chart. He was also #18 on their Top 200 International Artists Chart. His single, “More Than Just a Farm” racked up an impressive 336 reporting stations, internationally, according to Triplestrand Promotions. Doug was featured on a couple of country music websites this past week, including Country Music Jukebox, from Germany and Country Music Life, who will also be posting a new interview with Doug this coming week. Finally, Doug also learned of his nomination, along with Xander, as 2013 Southern Star Independent Artist of the Year. Way to go, Doug! This week, Doug has an interview scheduled on Wednesday, with Scott And Roger’s Country Round-up. We’ll post more information coming up. Doug will also be returning to Lone Star Steakhouse in Anchorage, AK on Friday at 9pm local time. Make sure you catch this incredible performer in this intimate setting.
Have a safe and happy Memorial Day! Let’s remember the reason behind the holiday…the great sacrifices that our men and women in the military have made for us. Enjoy your week and stop back for more updates as they happen.
