Vento, Ziggy, Hawk & McCarthy Celebrates Release of Debut Album with Warhol Museum Performance

Pittsburgh-based acoustic supergroup unveils eclectic collection of originals and covers on MTS Records. A CD release party and performance will take place on September 20th at the Andy Warhol Museum.

PITTSBURGH, PA – September 9, 2024 – On Friday, September 20th, 2024, MTS Records is thrilled to announce the release of “Four Ever”, the highly anticipated debut album from Pittsburgh acoustic ensemble Vento, Ziggy, Hawk & McCarthy (VZHM). The nine-track album showcases the group’s dynamic blend of vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, and heartfelt performances, making it a must-listen for fans of folk, country, and classic rock.

Featuring a mix of original songs and beloved covers, “Four Ever” includes standout singles like the band’s rendition of Rick Nelson’s 70s hit “Garden Party” and the original “Spaghetti Western,” which charted at #35 on the UK iTunes Country Chart. The album also includes a cover of John Prine’s “Please Don’t Bury Me,” alongside new original tracks like “Racing Trains” and “Love, Lust & Wreckage,” a #7 UK iTunes hit for VZHM.

The band lineup consists of:

  • John Vento (vocals), renowned solo artist, frontman of The Nied’s Hotel Band and co-founder of Band Together Pittsburgh.
  • Robert Zigerelli (guitar, vocals), a seasoned guitarist with decades of experience in the Pittsburgh music scene.
  • Cherylann Hawk (vocals, guitar, percussion), an acclaimed singer-songwriter and fixture in the Pittsburgh music community.
  • Kevin McCarthy (guitar, vocals), a versatile guitarist and recognized top performer in the Western PA area.

“Four Ever” was produced by VZHM and recorded by David Granati at Maplewood Studio in Ambridge, PA. The group’s collective experience shines through in each track, seamlessly blending their original compositions with beloved classics, creating a fresh, yet familiar sound. The album will be available across all digital platforms on September 20th, 2024 on MTS Records.
