Syd Taylor is making her return to music with her debut single, “Love of Your Life”. After leaving her twin duo (Stereo Jane) of 17 years, the Indie/Pop/Rock producer and songwriter started working on her first album and is coming back with a bang. Her new single, “Love of Your Life” is out now on all platforms. Writing about a guy being a little too obsessed with her, she turned a somewhat scary concept into a fun, sexy, upbeat banger.
Her musical inspirations come from classic artists like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and Aretha Franklin. Producing everything from her apartment, she creates a beautiful blend of analog and digital.
“I wanted this song to feel nostalgic and timeless. That’s what inspired me to produce it the way I did. I didn’t want it to be too perfect, so I kept certain parts more organic and I tried not to overdo it. I even ended up keeping the demo vocal because there was something about it that felt more special than the overly produced vocals I’m used to.” -Syd
Her single release show will be held at The Viper Room on Friday, September 20th. There, she will be playing the unreleased songs from her upcoming album!
