Launched over a decade ago, hooyoosay still is a very unique music releasing project, as all of
its varying contributors have agreed to remain anonymous. There have been more than a dozen
releases by now, ranging from acoustic to electronic, and from happy to sad.
Their latest release is the EP “Silently Crying”, offering five solid rock-soul-blues tracks, and as
the title betrays, related by a tranquil mood of sombre contemplation.

The songs that deserve the main focus are the self-penned “Happy World” and “Hands Off”.
The former tackles some challenging global issues in our troubled society, with an underlying
call to come to our senses. After all, a happy world is what we all want, isn’t it?
The latter sketches a recognizable setting that associates with the #MeToo topic.
The remaining tracks are genuinely performed blues cover versions, two John Mayall songs and
one obscure early Jagger-Richards song.

“Silently Crying” is available on all streaming portals from June 22nd 2023.
