How did you get the name Queen Ofir, and how would you describe your musical journey?
The brand title Queen Ofir was curated for me in 2013 by my band managers; and Ofir means gold in Hebrew, which signifies royalty and extravaganza. They decided to call me Queen Ofir, not just Ofir, to further the extravaganza aspect of the brand I represented. The energizing stage performances with uniquely artistic clothing designs coupled with meaningful poetry, showcase the “Queen Ofir” personality. The idea for the name also came from my glorious musical journey, which is not just powerful, but sees me as a role model for the world. It puts the perspective of care and appreciation into higher standards for my songs are filled with miraculous energy and passion. I want to bless and hug the whole world and give my blessing to the universe and share it like a queen.
Tell us about the song “Peace Prayer.” How did you come to write it?
Peace prayer came about when producer/artist “Grayhawk” asked me to record vocals for his project album. He was working on a new track to produce a song about world peace with English and Farsi lyrics. I listened to the music and felt the synchronicity almost immediately. I remember we had an interesting and intense but amazing session in the studio. I instantly felt the rapport of the other artists and musicians and felt quickly immersed in their wavelength of artistic creativity.
I also shared their concept of world peace, overcoming global challenges and being open to harmonious transformations which can positively change everything. And I was able to introduce elements of the law of attraction and the power of simple vibrating words to describe and highlight our human alignment with the universe to help awaken and create a new understanding of sound and visualization to achieve a greater sense of world peace.
Since my background is healing and music, and I’m originally from Israel, I understood the creative challenges of such an enterprise and the subject of world peace on many levels. I turn ideas into positive, uplifting verses in both Hebrew and Arabic. As an American Israeli, I was born in Israel but lived throughout the world including the United States and Canada. I have traveled the world and continue to travel it.
However, my background is in human psychology, emotional intelligence, life coaching, spiritual healing, and mindfulness—all this aside from my musical and artistic career which has inculcated and inspired my life journey. A message as an opportunity came to my mind. So, I thought to myself, “I’ll take this challenging assignment to whole new heights, and that will hopefully send healing to the world and redefine living in peace.
The “Grayhawk” project was an amazing alignment with my path. I was thrilled! Our collaboration was a blessing! I knew to give it all I’ve got in my soul and mind and strive to create a path and powerful statement—all of which became a beautiful collaboration with Grayhawk. Everyone agreed that I would write my parts to the song in Arabic and Hebrew. So, I created a powerful message with a panoramic view of the subject from a whole new perspective of life energetically and universally. Thus, I wrote my parts for the song. The producer loved it, and we recorded it. Grayhawk produced it so beautifully. The song received dozens of awards internationally. World peace seems to be a significant cause to you. Can you elaborate on why that is, and tell us about your song, “Fearless Wings of Love?”
In 2019, I released “Fearless Wings of Love,” which I had been working on for two years prior since 2017. “Fearless Wings of love” contains some profound elements and an artistic view of life that includes:
- The meaning of life
- The spirituality of living
- Manifestation of critical healing elements from the Queen Ofir personal touch
I wrote and composed this song as I wanted to give a gift to the world and create something extraordinary with a new vibe and perhaps inspire the world with all its nations to seek a bridge of understanding humanity’s place in the cosmos. Where do we stand with the rest of the forces of the universe? What is our deeper relationship with the universe and the blessings such awareness can bring? I searched and pondered these things heavily for a long time and both spiritually and philosophically. Then I finalized the lyrics and collaborated with a fabulous producer, Tommy C. Bruno. It was our first project together—and a magical one it was. We co-produced the music and arrangement.
You’ve released a remix of your single “Unleash the Universe.” How is it different from the original mix, and what can listeners expect when they hear it?
The remix has that extra boost of powerful sound of American jets flying. It’s an energized mix both sonically and metaphorically. Thus, somewhat outrageous that I had people texting me messages with rocket emojis flying off my iPhone! lol. You are screaming higher. All the beautiful sound effects energetically generate wild and higher vibrations while you’re listening to the song. The song is compelling, but with this extra boost with the fire jets, fireworks as a celebration of the universe while immersed in the vibe of exciting dance music. It’s an amplified sound that electrifies the soul!
What is next for Queen Ofir? Are any other recordings or tour dates planned for 2022/2023?
You’ll be seeing something exciting very soon. I’m currently working on two new albums that are very close to my heart. And you will also see me in an upcoming tantalizing, hot show in Vegas which will rock The Strip!
You relocated from the Middle East to California. How are the two places similar? How are they different?
America is truly the land of the brave. I believe it is the best place in the world to live. I spent my childhood in Israel, which was very unpredictable. My childhood experiences were frightening as you were never promised what would happen the next day as tomorrow cannot always be promised in that part of the world. I lived in north Israel and grew up in Nahariya, a resort city by the ocean—a kind of dreamy, relaxed place.
Initially, I moved to New York to attend acting school and learn music. Then I lived in Canada for a while and studied classical music and performing. Canada was awesome! While there, I started my company Passion Show Records and released my first two albums. It’s also a great country to experience diverse culture and the arts.
Then I came back to New York, worked as a producer/artist and actress on a few TV shows and continued to study music and theater and perform in concerts and gigs. I eventually moved to California which I passionately love and remains my favorite place to live. At least for now! Just one thing, you need to turn off the news channels in America, and you are good. It’s a fast, vast exciting lifestyle. And you can focus on what you love and want in your life and create what you truly want. Because America, and especially California, is the land of dreams and where dreams come true!
