MTS: Great to speak with you Wolf! Wolf is an unusual first name…is that your given name? If not, how did you come up with it?
Wolf Critton: It was given to me in Iraq by a friend who was killed out there. I was always loyal to my pack, and at times a “lone wolf.”
MTS: You’ve served in the military. How has that helped to shape you as the artist that you are?
WC: My guitar saved my humanity and soul. It’s become an extension of myself and is total therapy. Iraq gave me an opportunity to express my self without tears and connect with fellow comrades. Iraq is the reason I am an artist Period.
MTS: Congratulations on the upcoming album release! Please tell us all about it. Give us the who, what, where, when and why behind the album?
WC: Thank you Me and Mike are very excited about it! The EP will be released as soon as we finish recording. As to when I have hopefully early spring. The Album title is “Wolves Among Men” the concept is of what the world is hearing on the radio is love songs, will represent musics broken heart.
MTS: You have endorsements with some pretty incredible companies. How did those come about? Is there one that you are particularly proud of?
WC: Hands down LUNA GUITARS, they represent everything that music has done for me. The “Vista Wolf” I play is from there Vista Series. In short I don’t know how it happened but it did and I’m not asking questions lol. Every wolf needs a Luna to howl at.
MTS: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be, and why?
WC: Jack White and simply because he is an ARTIST.
MTS: What does Wolf Critton like to do outside of music? And if I were to come over for dinner, what would you serve?
WC: Motorcycle, Dog Walks, Hunting and hot wings. Steak and Salad.
Thanks Wolf! Good luck with the album release, and we’ll see you for some wings and steak!!
