Whiskey and Cigarettes Country Radio Show is happy to announce the airing of their exclusive interview with #1 hit songwriter and member of the Statler Brothers, Jimmy Fortune. Mr. Fortune joined award-winning host, DJ Nik Bernitz Pizzigoni, to talk about his legendary career and the release of his new album, Hits & Hymns, out on October 23rd.
The interview with Jimmy Fortune will air this coming Sunday, October 18th, 2015, between 11am ET-3pm ET. The live show airs on Military Brotherhood Radio at http://www.militarybrotherhoodradio.com. Over the years, Jimmy Fortune has established himself as one of the most distinctive tenor singers in Country music history. After joining the legendary Statler Brothers in 1982, Fortune experienced Gold and Platinum records, won CMA and IBMA awards, along with being inducted into BOTH the Country Music Hall of Fame and Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Appropriately titled, the Hits & Hymns project sees Fortune performing some of his classic STATLER BROTHERS HITS, in addition to top Gospel HYMNS. The album, which features unique collaborations with Country and Gospel music’s top artists including VINCE GILL, THE ISAACS, DAILEY & VINCENT, THE OAK RIDGE BOYS, RICKY SKAGGS, THE GAITHER VOCAL BAND AND THE WHITES, will be released via Gaither Music Group. The album will coincide with the special edition DVD, “Jimmy Fortune: Hits & Hymns”, hosted by Bill Gaither.
