“Doug has a long history of raising money for various charitable causes,” said his manager, Michael Stover of MTS Management Group. “He’s one of the most giving artists that I know of. In fact, he’s performing at a Parkinson’s event on Saturday, April 26th. He’s also scheduled to perform at a cancer benefit/Tammy Wynette Tribute concert on June 2nd at the Hard Rock Nashville. But, it’s the veterans that have always had a special place in his heart. His family has a long line of veterans, and Doug’s son is currently serving. We hope everyone will love the song, and contribute to the donation campaign.”
“Unknown Soldier” is taken from Doug’s Tate Music Group release, Super Country Cowboy. Written by Tedd French and Bob Dellaposta, the track tells the story of the selfless men and women who have given their lives in service of their country. A “Download And Support Our Veterans” button will be placed on Doug’s website, to redirect fans to the mp3 download.
