KeithLauerFrom our friends at MuzicNotes.com: Based in Nagasaki, Japan, Keith Harrison Lauher is an American solo acoustic guitarist influenced by artists like Tommy Emmanuel, Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, and Kaki King. Keith began playing electric guitar at age 13, learning blues, jazz, and rock from local guitar legends in his hometown just outside of the California bay area. At age 22, he shifted his focus to acoustic guitar, developing percussive and two-handed fret tapping techniques to combine into his original instrumental songs. His incendiary live performances use these new and exciting guitar techniques whilst incorporating the blues, jazz, and rock melodies discovered during his youth. Internationally-acclaimed, Keith has gained overseas recognition as the champion of Fukuoka, Japan’s premiere talent competition, ‘Gaikokujin Star Tanjo’ in 2012.
