Metal guitar virtuoso, XANDER DEMOS was recently interviewed by CREATIVE SPOTLIGHTS, an online entertainment site. Xander talked about some of the struggles and obstacles that he’s had to face in his career, leading to the success he is beginning to taste. Here’s an excerpt:
CS: How do you feel about people downloading music rather then buying physical copies?
XD: It’s two-fold. On the one hand, a lot of time and money goes into recording the music, so that it can stand up against what is out there, and be played on the radio. So, it’s nice when someone says, I like your music enough to spend my hard-earned money on it. I mean, everyone wants to be paid for their hard work, right? On the other hand, you have to learn how to adapt and use the recorded music as more of a promotional tool, to get you the fan base that will buy your tshirts and your concert tickets. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but you just have to do it..
