Teen country music artist, Josey Milner has begun work on her next single release, “Not Pretty Enough,” with the team at Awestruck Studios in Kansas City, MO. At the helm is veteran engineer, Matthew Russo, who has worked extensively with one of the top rock acts in history, Hall and Oates. Assisting Russo is another music industry veteran, Larry Gann, who has worked with Elton John, John Rich, Backstreet Boys and many others. Co-producing the track with Russo is guitarist extraordinaire, Micah Burdick. A December release and radio campaign is planned, followed by an extensive radio promotional tour.
“Not Pretty Enough” was written by Kasey Chambers, an Australian country singer-songwriter. It was a number 1 Australian hit, going double-platinum in 2002. It was featured in the Australian horror film, “The Loved Ones.”
“I just happened to be watching this horror flick, and I heard this beautiful, haunting song. I just couldn’t get it out of my head,” said Michael Stover of MTS Management Group, Josey’s manager. “It was right around the time that I was starting to work with Josey, and I said to myself, ‘this is the type of song that I want Josey to record.’ Several months later, and here we are. The tracks sound amazing! I can’t wait to get this song out to radio. It’s going to be a huge breakout song for Josey.”
