MTS Management Group is pleased to announce their signing of country music artist Doug Briney, to an exclusive artist management deal. MTS had previously been handling publicity, promotions and social media marketing for Mr. Briney. With this new agreement, MTS will assume all artist management duties for Doug, in addition to maintaining their former role as his publicist.
“The past several months of working with Doug has just been a real pleasure,” says Michael Stover, head of MTS Management Group. “We’ve been able to accomplish quite a bit in a short period of time, and we are now looking ahead to Doug’s future. We’re planning on building upon our initial successes with indie and international radio by getting Doug back on the road and into the studio for a 2013 label release.”
Doug Briney and MTS Management Group began their promotions/publicity/social media marketing relationship in February of 2012. Since then, Doug has been nominated for an Independent Country Music Award as Most Promising Artist, and for a Southern Star Network Indie Artist of the Year award (2013.) His debut single, “More Than Just a Farm” topped several indie charts, with the follow up, “It’s All Country,” released in July, currently climbing the charts and receiving worldwide airplay. Doug has received press in major news publications and webzines, while being interviewed by some of the most influential music-related talk shows. MTS Management Group has also been responsible for facilitating the growth of Doug’s social media pages, now numbering a combined 18,000-plus connections on Facebook, Twitter and Myspace. In addition, two of Doug’s recent music videos have more than 20,000 Youtube views.
Doug Briney, known as the Alaskan Cowboy, lives in Anchorage with his wife and children. He is a pastor at the Cowboy Church of Anchorage.
